Montréal’s Culture Days Are Coming. My Paintings Need New Walls.

Back in Montreal, I want to paint again. Aubistract Studio is becoming a living gallery where some earlier paintings might find new homes—and make room for the next ones.

I’m back in Montreal, and I want to get back to painting. The practical problem is that my walls are already full of earlier work.

On September 10, the organizers of the 30th Journées de la culture announced events for September 25–27, inviting people across Québec to make and discover art together. That announcement arrived at the right moment for me: I’ve been thinking about how to let paintings leave my own rooms and become part of someone else’s daily life.

I started Aubistract Studio as a photographic archive of my abstract paintings. Now I want it to feel more like a living gallery. Some of those paintings could find new homes, leaving me with free walls and room to make the next ones.
